As a city committed to alternate modes of transportation, Boulder offers a variety of public transportation options as well as bike and recreation paths. Following is information about navigating around Boulder by bus, taxi, foot, bike or skate.

 

 

SKIP & HOP Bus Service

Offers convenient pick up locations throughout the city of Boulder to shopping areas, restaurants, University of Colorado and Naropa University campuses, as well as RTD pick up locations. Schedules for Boulder SKIP and HOP are as follows. Cost is $.75 for general public and $.25 for seniors, children and physically challenged (during non-peak hours). Monday - Friday Shuttles run every 6 minutes from 7:00 am to 7:00 PM and every 15-30 minutes 5:30 to 7:00 am and 7:00 PM to midnight. Saturday 7:30 to 9 am, every 30 minutes; 9 am to midnight every 15 minutes. Sunday 7:30 am to 10:30 PM every 30 minutes.

Monday - Friday Shuttles run every 7-10 minutes from 7:00 am to 7:00 PM Saturday 9:00 am to 7:00 PM, every 15 minutes. Thursday-Saturday 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, every 15 minutes and 10 PM to 2:30 am every 20 minutes. * HOP does not run during college breaks and holidays.

 

By Foot, Bike, or In-Line Skate

The Boulder Creek bike and recreation path is adjacent to Boulder University Inn and runs 16 miles from end to end, with 6 miles paved through the Boulder city limits.

 

University Bikes - 303-444-4196. Hours: 9 am to 6 pm daily. Located on 9th & Pearl (just a short walk).
